UKA, with the support of sports coach UK, are conducting a review of UKA coach education qualifications. As part of this review we are seeking the views of leaders, coaches and tutors as well as members, administrators and athletes. We really need YOUR opinions.
Motivate East launch competition for Sainsburys Anniversary Games
Motivate East have launched a competition to win 2 tickets to the Sainsburys Anniversary Games event. The tickets will go to the best and most inspirational disability sports story uploaded before the competition closes on the 31st May. Entries can come from sports participants themselves, but also coaches, volunteers or maybe family members of those involved in disability sport at any level.
Beginner's Pole Vault Training Sessions
West London Pole Vault are launching pole vault sessions for beginner's. The Free Introductory session will take place during half term - Wednesday 29th May 10am - 11.30am.

How is your club faring post 2012? Following London 2012, the Sport and Recreation Alliance is carrying out its biennial sports club survey to piece together a picture of how our community and grassroots sports clubs are faring after the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
London Regional Disability Championships
On Monday 29th April 2013, the annual London Regional Disability Championships were once again held at Lee Valley Athletics Centre, where 160 competitors entered what turned out to be a very high standard competition, with some fantastic performances.
From the streets to the track – an incredible and moving story of Lance Scott
At the recent Newham & Essex beagles ‘Young and Junior Awards Evening’ athlete, Lance Scott previewed a video,giving a moving and motivational speech with an insight into life in East London.

Get your place in the Capital Runners Bushy Park 10k and train with an Olympian!
The Dame Kelly Holmes Legacy Trust have teamed up with Run England for the Capital Runners Bushy Park 10k organised by Nice Work on the 1st September 2013.
Aimed for beginners and intermediate runners, the event perfect for those having not ran a 10k event before. As a bonus, those running will also be invited to a running master class from one of the Trust’s World Class Athletes.
37th Metro Athletics Championships Mile End Stadium, 15th June 2013
Metro are delighted to have Action for Blind people on board for this year’s championships, and I would like to offer a warm welcome to all the Actioneer clubs throughout the UK to London to support this event. I am sure we can increase on the success of last year’s increase in competitors.
We need your help to circulate this entry form to visually impaired athletes in mainstream education.
Specialist schools and colleges for visually impaired people are again very welcome to take part, and we are looking forward to having a full track and field competition for over 100 athletes (see extra low cost for Junior Accommodation). Financial assistance for travelling for teams / groups outside London is also available – please contact us for further details.
