What is the 'London Inter Club Challenge?' - The 'London Inter Club Challenge' (LICC) is a series of four meetings put on during the summer at Allianz Park (formerly Barnet Copthall Stadium), Greenlands Lane, Hendon, London, NW4 1RL and Lee Valley Athletics Centre. The meetings are organized by the two member clubs, Achilles Club, and Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers. All athletes are welcome to take part as are officials who wish to gain experience at a licensed meeting. Entry fee for athletes from non-member club is just £4 for the first event and £3 thereafter. Athletes from all over London and the south-east regularly compete at LICC fixtures. The main objective of the LICC is to provide athletes with quality competition which is graded, has electronic timing on the track and EDM in the field. This is seen as a stepping stone to the next level whether its British League athletics or the English Schools.
Walking events are also included at all the LICC meetings. All track and field events are subject to grading. Mixed races will be run where appropriate. Photo finish and EDM is scheduled for all meetings. The HT, LJ and DT will be divided into pools where there are more than 12 entries. 4 trials for all throws and horizontal jumps. Registration opens at opens at 10.30 and closes 20 minutes before the published start time. Each of these meetings is preceded by a Quadkids competition for Under 12s starting at 09.30. The LICC is supported by UK Athletics, England Athletics and London Marathon.
