Melissa Catchpole BSc (Hons) After making a career change from IT to sports, Melissa has found her niche and is excelling as an Athletics Coach. As the former Athletics Development Officer for Tower Hamlets for two years and the current Athletics Activator for Greenwich for the past 6 months Melissa has experience of working with athletes of all ages and abilities from 6 to 20+ years old.
Melissa has worked with over 130 primary schools and over 20 secondary schools developing the talents of young individuals. Having developed a very successful athletics structure in the Borough of Tower Hamlets she is now extending her skills and abilities to the borough of Greenwich. Melissa is also an athlete and has experience of competing, but now spends more time running competitions on a borough level for young aspiring athletes whilst managing the boroughs London Youth Games Team and Gifted and Talented Athletics programme.

“Athletics is at the heart of all sports and I think this is a great opportunity for so many boroughs. With this type of project it’s exciting to see the development of Athletics within London ahead of 2012. The run Project and the work England Athletics are doing will definitely see some very new talent take set”.
