What's on This Week brought to you by the Run! Team 21st July – 26th July
With one week to go the Torch Relay arrives in The Host Boroughs this weekend, Run! Activators will be out in force supporting the event and some famous faces running with the torch including Tessa Sanderson and London Youth Games Athletes.
Saturday 21st - Waltham Forest Run! Activator Shaun Medlen will be laying out the Run! Portable track at Leyton Cricket Ground for a Festival of Athletics and Newham will be putting on a spectacular town show in Central Park. The Blue Peter Olympic Roadshow will also be at Central Park where Run! Activator Coral Nourrice and The Sportshall team will be putting on a mini athletics competition.
Sunday 22nd -There will be a Go For it Adult participation event in Norbury Lambeth in partnership with Run! Activator Ellie Wood followed by a Mini Olympics at Willesden Sports Centre with Run! Activator Andre Fernandez.
Monday 23rd - The Torch arrives in Lewisham where there will be exciting Run England 321 Activities with Run England Activator Lynne Atkinson. There will also be a large event with Beyond Sport at Lilian Baylis Old School new hub site in Lambeth.
Wednesday 25TH There will be a large torch relay celebration in Bruce Castle Park Haringey with the Run! portable track and sports day races including space hoppers. Daley Thompson will be lighting the flame in the evening at Alexander Palace.
Thursday 26th The flame reaches Westminster.
