Sport England

Sport England is the government’s lottery investor for sport. Sport England is our core funding partner and is providing four year funding investment to deliver our core priorities – particularly clubs and coaching. We are also working with Sport England on specific projects to promote participation in athletics that will also allow more effective ways of bringing people into sport to be developed in the future. The Greater London Authority

The Greater London Authority have been working closely with England Athletics to help develop the London Strategy for the past two years. In 2010 Boris Johnston, the Mayor of London, announced that the GLA would fund England Athletics’ Run! project up to £200,000 over two years. The GLA have also supported the sport through funding grants for two London facility developments (Orion Harriers and Enfield Stadium) and also through the provision of coach education subsidies in partnership with London Skills Active.
